Terms of Use
BATCH Oyster Bar · Effective October 16, 2026
These terms apply when you order from BATCH Oyster Bar ("we") through this site. By placing an order, you agree to them.
Orders and payment
- Prices are in Canadian dollars and include the taxes shown at checkout.
- Payment is taken by Square on its secure checkout. Your order is confirmed once payment goes through, and you get an order number.
- Items depend on availability. If we can't prepare something you paid for, we will offer a replacement or a refund for that item.
- For mixed platters, the shucker may swap a variety that runs out for another of similar value.
Pickup
Collect your order at the counter with your order number when we tell you it's ready. Raw shellfish is best enjoyed right away; please collect it promptly.
Refunds and problems
If something is wrong with your order, tell our staff at the stand before you leave so we can fix it. Refunds go back to the card you paid with, through Square.
Allergies and raw shellfish
Please tell staff about any allergies before you order. Our food contains shellfish and may contain other allergens. Eating raw or undercooked shellfish may increase your risk of foodborne illness, especially if you are pregnant, elderly, or have certain medical conditions.
Order-ready text messages
- What you get: if you enter your mobile number, we text you about your order, usually once, when it's ready. Event news by text is sent only if you separately tick the promotions box.
- Cost: message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan.
- Stopping texts: reply STOP at any time. You may get one message confirming you opted out.
- Help: reply HELP, or contact us at ask a member of staff at the BATCH Oyster Bar stand.
- Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your number.
Using this site
Please use this site only to order from us. We may cancel orders that appear fraudulent or abusive, with a refund. The site is provided as is; we aim to keep it available but can't guarantee it will always work.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, our responsibility for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law in British Columbia.
Contact and changes
Questions: ask a member of staff at the BATCH Oyster Bar stand. We may update these terms; the effective date at the top shows when they last changed. These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and Canada.
