Privacy Policy

BATCH Oyster Bar · Effective October 16, 2026

This policy explains what personal information BATCH Oyster Bar ("we") collects when you order through this site, why, and your choices. We follow Canada's privacy laws (PIPEDA and British Columbia's PIPA).

What we collect

We don't ask for your name, and we don't use advertising or tracking cookies.

How we use it

Text messages

If you enter your mobile number, we send texts about your order (usually one, when it's ready). Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop texts or HELP for help. We do not sell, rent or share your mobile number or text-message consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. It is shared only with the service providers below, to deliver messages to you.

Who helps us run the service

These providers process information for us, only to provide their service:

Some of these providers store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be accessible to authorities under local law.

How we protect it

Your phone number and email are stored encrypted, connections use HTTPS, and only our staff can see orders, after signing in.

How long we keep it

We keep order records as long as needed for our business and tax obligations. You can ask us at any time to delete your phone number or email; promotion consent records are kept until you unsubscribe, plus the time needed to show we had permission.

Your choices and rights

Contact us

For privacy questions or requests: ask a member of staff at the BATCH Oyster Bar stand. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Changes

We may update this policy. The effective date at the top shows when it last changed.
